OUR OBJECTIVES
At ODEM Foundation we believe in creating a sustainable world that is safe for all people and environmentally friendly. We believe that we must take care of the earth we live on and do our part in ensuring its longevity while also facilitating accessibility to all people. This is why we have chosen SDG goal 11 as one of our objectives.
SDG GOAL 11
Makes cities and human settlements inclusive,
safe, resilient and sustainable.
As an organization started by a woman, we especially resonate with this SDG goal. We are always striving to push women and girls to go for their dreams. Too often are women and girls pushed into a box and told they can’t aim for the stars. Through gender based violence, unequal pay, societal pressures etc, women and girls have been put at a systemic disadvantage for years - we aim to make an
impact in changing this by tackling these issues from the root.
SDG GOAL 5
Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.
At ODEM Foundation we resonate deeply with SDG Goal 1 as this is a
consistent and rising issue in not only Jamaica but around the world. Poverty
impacts almost every aspect of a person's life - their ability to eat, their ability to
be healthy, their ability to be educated etc. This is why one of our goals is No
Poverty and we aim to contribute to this goal in any way we can.
SDG GOAL 1
End poverty in all its forms everywhere.
Knowledge is powerful, and we believe that access to knowledge is something that should be universally available. This can be done through providing a quality education to all people, no matter where they are. At ODEM Foundation we believe education is and should always be a basic right.

Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote
lifelong learning opportunities for all.
